Yoga-realign the body

Proper alignment of your body will make your muscles, bones and joints cooperate to give you a sense of flexibility and lightness that will help you in your daily life.

To work towards this goal, we will combine Purna and Iyengar yoga techniques to assist you to develop and maintain good posture, have a healthy back and also tone your body. This class emphasises the alignment and subtle movements of your muscles and bones when performing yoga poses. When doing the yoga poses, we aim to connect your mind with your body so that you will become aware of your body’s sensations and its needs and improvement. Yoga props will be used where appropriate and a calming relaxation time at the end of each lesson brings you a quiet mind with reduced stress and worry.

Yoga-Working Recovery

Days after days sitting in front of the computer and in the office makes our back tense and the shoulders slouching, so this class aims to relax and stretch those stiff muscles that cause problems to our spine and neck.

In the class, we will focus on releasing the tension on the back and build up strong and elastic muscles that support our spine. Good postures for the back and shoulders are crucial; we will work on those muscles that give us strength to open the shoulders and the upper chest. On our back, we will learn how to draw the scapulas down and elongate the muscles on the lower back in order for us to sit up straight. Apart from muscular training, shifting the focus of the mind to sense the body and face our emotions would be very useful to reduce stress in the brain. We will spend time on training the mind to scan the body and learn to listen to the messages sent from our body.
