Through guided practice in blade work and friendly sparring, participants will learn the fundamental skills of epee fencing, including proper drilling techniques, competition rules, and scoring methods. This course offers an exciting opportunity to explore new aspects of fencing and develop confidence in the sport.

Fencing-Foil (Level 1)
Fencing is a sport that combines mind, skill and strength. Through practice of blade work and footwork, participants can enhance their strength and agility. The beginner course provides a glimpse of the art of fencing through introduction of different swords, attack and defense skills through practices and duels.
By the end of the course, participants will have a foundational understanding of fencing foil, improved physical coordination, and the ability to engage in basic fencing matches. Come and enjoy the fun of fencing through practice and real competition!

Fencing-Epee & Foil (Level 2) (New)
This intermediate class builds on foundational foil and epee skills, refining technique, timing, and tactical awareness. Fencers develop stronger footwork, precision bladework, and more complex actions such as compound attacks, second intentions, and counter attacks. Students learn to adapt their style between foil and epee, understanding target areas, right of way (foil), and priority differences. Drills emphasize distance control, preparation, and active defense, while structured bouting reinforces tactical decision making and sportsmanship. Ideal for fencers who are ready to train more competitively.
Pre-requisites: HKU Sports-Programme Fencing-Foil/Fencing-Epee (Level 1) Competency Record within 12 months is preferred.

This advanced class is designed for committed fencers aiming to compete at higher levels in foil and epee. Training emphasizes tactical sophistication, mental resilience, and physical conditioning. Athletes refine their personal fencing style, develop bout plans, and learn to analyze opponents in real time. Sessions feature high intensity footwork, advanced bladework, pressure drills, and scenario based bouting. Tactical review may be used to improve strategic thinking and performance under stress. Ideal for fencers with solid competitive experience or our instructor’s referral.

This course offers a safe and non-contact introduction to rugby. Basic concepts & skills including passing & catching techniques, movement & positional awareness, basic strategies & tactical awareness will be covered, with gameplay application. Floor Curling Fun Session lets you have an entirely new experience to touch the fastest-growing Olympic sport which players slide stones towards a target area, aiming to score points by getting their stones closest to the center of the target on the smooth, flat mat.

Participants should possess a certain level of basic table tennis skills, with priority given to those holding the Hong Kong Hang Seng Table Tennis Academy - Gold Badge or above and are aiming to refine their competitive techniques.
The training content will focus on improving fundamental abilities, particularly serving and receiving techniques, as well as learning and applying various competition strategies to enhance performance.
Upon completion of the program, outstanding students will have the opportunity to receive special recognition, including the chance to be recommended for admission to the University of Hong Kong Table Tennis Team, which demonstrates their higher athletic potential and paves the way for further development in the sport.
