HKU Athletes in World University Games

On 13 July 2023, the University Sports Federation of Hong Kong hosted a flag presentation ceremony at HKU Loke Yew Hall for the Hong Kong, China Delegation to the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games (28 July – 8 August) where a total of 143 Hong Kong athletes will compete in 12 sports events.

Dr. Michael Tse, CSE Director (left 5), Mr. Matthew Fung, Senior Sport and Recreation Officer (left 4) and 12 HKU students: Saloni Mehta (badminton/ left 1), Ko Shing Hei (badminton/ left 2), Cheung Siu Hang (athletics/ left 3), Leung Yi Hang (tennis/ right 1), Lawrence Ng Lok Wang (fencing/ right 2), Linna Fan (fencing/ right 3), Chan Tsz Ching (fencing/ right 4), Charlene Chu Wing Yan (taekwondo/ right 5) and who will represent Hong Kong, China to participate in the Chengdu 2021 FISU World University Games attended the flag presentation ceremony hosted by USFHK on (on 13 July 2023). Other HKU students who will compete in the Games are: Ryan Choi Chun Yin and Wong Chun Hin (fencing), Coleman Wong Chak Lam (tennis), and Wong Chun Hei (artistic gymnastics)
