Re-opening of Sports Facilities (updated on 17th February 2021)

In connection with the latest relaxation of the Government’s social-distancing measures, we write to inform you that the sports facilities will resume normal opening hours starting from tomorrow 18th February 2021 (except swimming pool will remain closed according to government requirement).
Details are as follows:

 b. Users are required to wear face masks at all times in the fitness centres, adopt 1.5m social distancing policy and wipe down equipment immediately after use.

*  Our new fitness facility, HKU B-Active, located at HKU MTR B1 Exit will also be opened to staff and students only for the interim period, while we are testing the new operation.  Please feel free to view this short introductory clip of the new facility for your reference.

IMPORTANT:

Meanwhile, users who come to use the sports facilities please kindly note and adhere to the following health precautionary measures: 

1) Any individuals with temperature higher than 37.5°C at the mandatory body temperature check at the entrance will be prohibited from entering the facilities and asked to visit a medical professional.

2) Those who have respiratory tract infection symptoms such as coughing and running nose, or those feeling unwell, we ask you to be courteous to others and refrain from using the sports facilities.

3) For the safety of other users and CSE staff, it is mandatory to wear a face mask upon entering the sports centres or when walking around the sports centre before / after exercise. 

4) Users returning to Hong Kong (including any travel to mainland China and Macau) must avoid using the sports facilities and adhere to the requirement of at least 14 days self-quarantine after the date of their return. 

5) No sports equipment will be on loan during this period of time. 

6) Users who drive to the Stanley Ho Sports Centre can go through the car entrance as normal upon presentation of their valid card.  All other passengers (if any) must get out of the car and use their own membership access card to enter the sports centre through the pedestrian entrance.

7) Users are strongly advised not to gather together in groups of more than 4 persons and it is recommended, as far as possible, to maintain an appropriate social distance (1.5m or more) from one another.

8) “LeaveHomeSafe” Venue QR Code has been posted up at the entrance of all our centres.  Users are strongly advised to use this service. For more details on “LeaveHomeSafe”, please click this LINK.

9) CSE may request any users who do not follow any of the above precautionary measures to leave the sports centres immediately. 

Please be aware that given the current fluid situation, CSE may need to change the re-opening period /opening hours stated above for health and safety reasons, whenever necessary, even at a very short notice.
